Do you believe that ignorance is bliss?

I was blessed with the company of my parents, in-laws and my sister today having them over for dinner. A delicious dinner, a few glasses of wine..yummy. I passsed this question around whilst we sipped our expresso's.

Me: Ok, I'm going to be honest here. I always fantasize about being 10 and under again. Life was good back then, but there was soooo much I was unaware of as in the "big picture" of things. Yeah…life just seemed to be so much smoother back then. I also wonder about the that one ditzy chic that always seems to be at the bar. it doesn't matter which one…she's just there. You now the one. The one that "tee hee's" her way through life. Could it possibly be that easy? The problem there is that I start thinkin' about it too hard and totally defeat the purpose.

My Mom: Mom's believes that ignorance is what you choose to ignore, and how you choose to react to it.

Step-Father: (Gotta love'm..lol) "It takes a true talent to be ignorant and get away with it."

Mom In-law: She shares the same view as me Mom. :)

Father In-Law: He was the interesting one of the bunch. His belief is that he doesn't want to know everything. He only wants to know what is important and relevant at that time. All other information is a distraction.

My Sister Pud: in her own words "sure". Always the vocal one she is ;)
